Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

The curent openoffice.org-sdbc-postgresql package is based on the 0.7.5
source driver. The 0.7.6 version, which fixes a somewhat serious bug in
numbers presentation, is availble. The upstream "extension" can be used
on Windows and x86 Linux, but not on amd64.

Since the ODBC driver seems to have problems on AMD64 (see bug #219206)
and libpg-java is still at 8.2 (on Hardy + hardy-upadtes + hardy-
backport) (while postgres is now in 8.3 series), the SDBC driver seems
the only reasonable option to use OOo on PostgreSQL databases. An
updated driver would therefore be a boon...

Sincerely,

                                                              Emmanuel
Charpentier
