I'm also having this problem. No CD burning problem, as I am using unetbootin through USB. So... what should I do? I don't really think this bug should be closed. And I don't believe that all of us got bad ISO files from the online repos. I checked the MD5 and matches. I am using Kubuntu 8.04.01 live CD.
