Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

This is in hardy.

In order to share a folder so that *I* can write to it from another
machine, it appears I have to click "Allow other people to write in this
folder." If that's the case, the label is misleading; it should say
something like "Allow remote machines to write in this folder."
Otherwise, if there I alone am supposed to have remote write permission
without checking that box, I'd like to know how, because it's not
working for me accessing the share from windows or macos guests. Yes, I
have the same password on the remote machines as on the server.
