I'm having the same problem in Edgy. Indeed in Dapper the problem also
occurred when using the 'fglrx' driver but that's why I switched back to
the 'ati' driver. However in Edgy it also occurs when using the standard
'ati' driver!

I have a USB hub on the back of my Toshiba Satellite A100 laptop which
connects my mouse, keyboard, printer and external hard disk to it. All
devices stop working and plugging them in another USB port on the laptop
doesn't work.

I'll include some parts of my 'messages' log.

BTW, my hub IS USB 2.0 but somehow it doesn't get the full speed 'ehci'
stack...
