and an exact description of how the problem manifested itself is that i
cant change my screen resolution to 1280*1024 with "monitor resolution
settings" or "screen resolution" under sytem > preference menu, with no
problem, because when i change screen resolution my desktop screen goes
crazy, like when a blender is near a tv that screen shows some kind of
interference, something like that and when i finally (doing what, i don
know) with resolution switcher "resapplet" changed my desktop screen
resolution to 1280*1024 my login screen resolution is still the same
than before "1024*768" and when i open "/etc/X11/xorg.conf" file it
doesnt give me the posibility to change my screen resolution, it shows
me this:

# xorg.conf (X.Org X Window System server configuration file)
