re 1: I can confirm that baobab by default displays wrong disk space values, and that disabling the gvfs-fuse-daemon filesystem in Preferences fixes this (the capacity is displayed correctly afterwards). However, it seems that two weeks ago this was fixed in Gnome (see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=528848)? In that case, the fix will probably land in Ubuntu 8.04.2 or 8.10?
re 2: as far as I know, df reports only "usable" disk space - that's "free space minus reserved space". The reserved space can be set with tune2fs -m . By default, 5% of disk space is reserved (as emergency contingent for system tasks etc), which corresponds with the missing ~7 GB in your df output. Baobab seems to display all free space; I have no idea how to make df display the same values. -- Baobab reports incorrect available diskspace value https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/244086 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
