I have filed Bug #68807 .. it is similar to this - the symptoms are same, but the card is i810. I am sorry for filing a duplicate :)
However, problem is, intel i810 can't use vga=791 - it will just bail out and not use a framebuffer. Any solutions, then, to this problem ?
