Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
I have the following setup: LVDS is my notebook display (1280x800), VGA-0 is a LCD TV connected via a regular VGA monitor cable, capable of displaying 1360x768. When performing boot by turning the computer on, the driver freezes (hard freeze, even sysrq keys do not work) before X/gdm is started. When I boot with the TV unplugged, X/gdm starts correctly. Then I plug the TV in and restart X (Ctrl+Alt+Backspace) and both displays works correctly. I tried to toy a bit with Xorg config, set XAA/EXA to no avail.
