I'm running 2.6.24-21-generic and still have the bug. Could this be because a fix backported to 2.6.24-19-generic would not have been applied to kernels in Tim's test kernel repo (deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/timg-tpi/ubuntu hardy main )?
