Hello, This problem got solved for me somewhere during Jan or Feb 2008. Actually the motherboard fried, so after I replaced it, those problems vanished ! I'm not sure wether the reason was the motherboard itself, or was it also a kernel upgrade that I done after I replaced the board that solved it.
