Using driver rt2500usb for an internal wireless chip on my laptop. lsusb output: Bus 005 Device 002: ID 148f:2573 RaLink Technology, Corp.
Tested with kernel 2.6.24-19-generic (linux-image-generic, version 2.6.24-19.36) installed as an update to clean Hardy 8.04.1 install. Result: WiFi was detected but speed was set at 1MB/s as described in the bug. Installed linux-backport-modules and rebooted.
