I can confirm this with an HP Pavilion dv2815nr. If you go into [ System > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts ] and disable the [ Desktop > Launch help browser ] shortcut, it fixes the issue. Judging from this, the problem seems to be that toggling the touchpad seems to generate the same keycode as whatever the default for "Launch help browser" is. It is terribly annoying.
