I've solved the issue upgrading the firmware of the Logitech BT mini-receiver. The procedure I have followed is: * You need an Windows XP machine * You must install this package ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/mouse/setpoint460_btw.exe to get the firmware upgrading tool * You must download ftp://ftp.logitech.com/pub/techsupport/mouse/setpointpatch32_b8.exe and extract the firmware: - Begin the installation and eventually you will get an error saying that the update is for SetPoint 3.3. - Don't press okay, and search a file called SetPointPatch.msi at folder %TMP%. - Open a console, go to the folder containing SetPointPatch.msi and execute: mkdir c:\firmware msiexec /a SetPointPatch.msi /qb TARGET_DIR=c:\firmware * You must download this utility to convert the mini-receiver into a generic bluetooth device: http://www.nynaeve.net/Code/lhid2hci-compiled.zip * Unzip it and from a console execute: lhid2hci 046d c714 It should write "Converted 1 HID devices to native HCI mode" * Execute %ProgramFiles%\WIDCOMM\Bluetooth Software\bin\BtDfuWizardP.exe. Select C:\firmware\Common\Logitech\Bluetooth\RR5103_B0077.dfu as the DFU image and upgrade it. If it fails the first time, try another time. I've been successful at the second time.
Issues: * If the last step goes wrong, you can get a bricked (useless) mini-receiver . * If the last step succeed, your model identifier of the mini-receiver will change to the one used by the Logitech MX-5000 Desktop Suite. -- logitech dinovo edge bluetooth sometimes works, sometimes not https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/151559 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
