Yes, in general it is very good policy not to build with bundled libraries. But that policy needs to have exceptions, like any reasonable policy. It isn't like you're dealing with a fly-by-night organization here, and you're dealing with some fairly substantial functionality that is missing. (Not rotating pictures automatically?
