I've just tried to reproduce this bug myself (window manager: metacity): -The OpenOffice window does not get its focus when I click the window tab in the panel. -Alt+Tabbing however does give the OpenOffice window focus.
Another attempt at reproducing it with xfwm4 for window manager: -When clicking the window tab in the panel only the activated OpenOffice toolbar gets focus. -Again, Alt+Tabbing works fine.
