I can confirm that the problem still exists; I am actually using dmsetup
version 1.02.20-2ubuntu2 on a Ubuntu hardy/8.04.1, which mentions fixing
the Debian bug #455746.

When I plug the USB drive and enter the passphrase in the automatically
popped up window, the previously shown icon for the drive just
disappears (the volume is unlocked, but not mounted).

When I use gnome-mount from the commandline (gnome-mount -vbd
/dev/sdXY), the volume is mounted correctly (after entering the
passphrase in the popup window).
