I do not believe so, although I am not sure what the ultimate issue in 255008 is. I am currently using the Generic 104-key PC keyboard model (on a Toshiba A215 laptop), with none of the keys dead or malfunctioning---the only issue that I have seen occurs with the USA Dvorak layout chosen from the keyboard preferences. When I tried the evdev-managed keyboard, my arrow keys were dead but I did not see any change in the US vs. US Dvorak layout behavior. -- Tommy M.
