I can confirm this. I was having the same issue and now I know what is going on. You are having problems because the ubuntustudio- controls.desktop file isn't properly localized. As a work around you could edit it. Try sudo gedit /usr/share/applications/ubuntustudio- controls.desktop and add a name in your language field, which is empty and that is why you are getting an icon with no name.
