I can confirm it I am having the same kind of issue with ubuntu hardy heron 8.04 running compiz and with an Intel 945GM video card.
Desactivate/Activating Addons would reset firefox and fix the problem temporarly A reboot can fix the issue temporarly. Stopping Compiz Fusion DOESNT fix the problem. The Window decoration going away seems kinda random. I tried desactivating most addons (I kept the ubuntu addon that was there by default) but the problem appearing again after a while. Right now trying to run firefox without any addon. Resizing and moving the firefox window do not work anymore when the window decoration is gone.
