I was able to recreate this bug using openoffice.org version
1:2.4.1-1ubuntu2 on Hardy Heron using a Gnome desktop.

  If Calc twin cell at the first line, and to attempt to identify lines of text 
below, for example from the bottom up, not unselecting rename them by pressing 
enter, Calc hangs.
  
  News while copying when inserted immediately after you begin to edit the cell.
  Steps:
  1. Are the cells with a1 on c1 and uniting them.
  2. Fill a cell with different values a3 on a5.
  3. Are the cells, starting with a5 on a3, get allocated a cell and an index 
is on a3, not unselecting start to rename after the renaming of the cell hit 
enter, which is renamed the latest cell, a5, it hit enter and ... Calc hangs.
  
  In this download Cpu to this process reaches 98%.

+ 1. Open the sample document provided
+ 2. Select cells A5:A3 starting with A5
+ 3. Rename the range to something
+ 4. Press enter 4 times (Once to select, 3 to move outside of the range)
