Public bug reported: Starting Xorg without hald running (in my case a LTSP thin client) makes it to run without any input device.
Starting manually dbus and hald then restarting X makes the mouse and keyboard to work again. In cases where hald is not running/installed, Xorg should fallback to the old behaviour and give the user something probably not the best configured but at least working. ** Affects: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Input devices not working without hal running https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/255133 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
