Pedro I suspect my crashes were due to the problems upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04 -- the upgrade froze and then I reset the machine.
I am very short of time right now so won't try the backtrace :( but I appreciate the community's effort in making Linux what it is -- and what it's going to be in the future. Júlio.
