Thanks for this answer, but what is the fix? Additional manual clean up? And there is a problem with the migration process anyway since I switched to the original NVidia driver because an update in the kernel or something else by the Ubuntu auto update mechanism messed up the Ubuntu restricted NVidia driver at the first place.
