"fglrx-amdcccle" is not a driver but only a control panel.

If you want to install the latest driver for your card you can enable the 
following repositories:
universe multiverse hardy-updates

then install envyng-gtk and launch EnvyNG from the Applications/System
Tools menu and install the driver from there.

If something goes wrong you won't have to reinstall the whole system. You will 
only have to boot in Recovey mode (which you can select from the GRUB menu, 
almost as soon as you turn on your computer) and type:
nano -w /etc/X11/xorg.conf

and simply change the driver from "fglrx" to "vesa" in the Device
section.

Press CTRL+X to save and type the following command to reboot:
reboot

** Changed in: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid
