Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-backports-modules
This was an old problem that was fixed for me around 2.5.24-15 IIRC with the linux-backports-modules installed. But, back to square 1 as the wifi led is no longer illuminated with the 2.6.24-20 and 2.6.24-21 kernels.
