Mr Bailey, your package dmraid_0.9.9-1.0.0.rc13-0ubuntu1_i386.deb works beautifully on my vt8237 via sata fakeraid controller. I'm writing this post from my freshly installed kubuntu edgy! I hope it'll be included in the official repository ASAP. (also, it'd be great if it were included in 'main' instead of 'universe'). Thanks, bye.
