Public bug reported: Binary package hint: fceu
A new release of FCEUX has been released; the first in quite a while. This release fixes a lot of issues and adds a lot of new features. For the details check out the webpage at http://fceux.com I'd really like to see this package and the GTK2 frontend be updated for Ubuntu. I'm no good at packaging debs, but I can tell you what has changed between the releases. The binary has changed from fceu to fceux. Fceux now depends on liblua5.1 and libz (both of which are in the repos) Fceux now has a build-depend on scons. Scons will build two files into bin: fceux (the binary) and auxlib.lua (which needs to be in the same path as the binary). I would suggest the pulseaudio package of libsdl, since it seems to work the best with fceux. The gfceux is now included in the fceu source package, so I'm not sure if there needs to be some concatenation. FceuX 2.0 does not has netplay support, so it might be a good idea to introduce new packages fceu2 (or fceux) amd gfceux2 (or gfceux) so people that want to use netplay can use it until its implemented in 2.x I'd really like to see this get updated in Ubuntu, but I have no packaging skills. If anyone has any questions, I'd really like to help out any way I can. ** Affects: fceu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- New 2.0.0 release with many new bugfixes and features https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/254352 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
