I have a similar problem on Ubuntu 8.04, but with wired network. I don't remeber if it happens everytime or almost this.
I start my laptop Toshiba A305-S6845 with Mobile Intel PM965 Express Chipset and 4965AGN and try to use the browser, but pages don't load like it disconnected, I try other programs that use the network and I have the same. I don't know if there is a change (when network is unplugged) in the icon of Network Manager, because I never see this icon changing on Ubuntu. I try to connect the network cable before start the notebook, to connect the network cable after ubuntu had started and during the boot, in this three case I have the same problem. Only after a reboot, sometimes 3 reboots that I have the network functioning well. Everytime I start my notebook I have the wireless off, because I don't use this. -- Intel 3945ABG fails on startup, computer needs reboot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/248144 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
