thank you for your bug report, I just tried on my intrepid installation and can't confirm the issue. was the cursor stucked in busy mode when you had the session frozen? did you look to /var/log/messages and /var/log/syslog after the reboot? was there any useful message there? if ctrl-alt-fn was not working that's not likely a gnome bug
