The same thing happens with corrupted .ogg files. I started ripping a CD using Sound Juicer with the "Ogg Vorbis, CD quality (Lossy)" profile. While this was going on, I navigated to the directory where Sound Juicer was placing the new .ogg files and Totem's thumbnailer crashed on the file that Sound Juicer was in the process of ripping. (When Sound Juicer would move to the next song, a new crash would often be triggered as long as Nautilus was left open at that folder.)
** Summary changed: - thumbnailer crashes on unfinished avi's + thumbnailer crashes on unfinished avi's or .oggs ** Description changed: Totem thumbnailer crashes if there is an unfinished (still being formed) - or corrupt avi in the folder it is thumbnailing. + or corrupt avi in the folder it is thumbnailing. The same is true for + Ogg Vorbis audio files still in the process of being created. ** Attachment added: "Problem report" http://librarian.launchpad.net/4937473/_usr_bin_totem-video-thumbnailer.1000.crash -- thumbnailer crashes on unfinished avi's or .oggs https://launchpad.net/bugs/67235 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
