Same issue as Olivier reported here with the KDE 4.1 release PPA. Setting X-DBUS-StartupType=none in /usr/share/applications/kde4/kate.desktop works, but there is another issue: Apparently kate does not terminate properly, if I close the kate window the process stays alive. So when I want to open another text file kate won't start up again.
I really think the importance should be higher than medium.
