Chris, I get the problem with linux-backports-modules, also. But not as frequently. I'm stumped as to what is causing it.
The problem started about the same time I was using dosemu (learning assembly from book that uses dos tools), and had to use the vmmap fix. So I thought that might have been the problem too, but it occurs during sessions where I haven't used dosemu. I'm going to uninstall linux-backports-modules for a few days, and will report whether the frequency increases, or not. The oops definitely only occurs after frequent (3+) suspends.
