Public bug reported:
pam_umask.so determines the umask (from system and user config files (see man page)) and sets it accordingly. The umask should not be set in common-session because it would override all user specific configs, but the option usergroups is neccessary to let it check if ubuntus private user groups are in effect to ease user collaboration (Info on Bug #252351). The line that is needed in common-session is: session optional pam_umask.so usergroups (This just reflects the settings that are in /etc/login.defs but have not been working since the switch to pam.) ** Affects: pam (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- pam_umask.so missing in common-session https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/253096 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
