I do not consider it fixed. For those who want to use Compiz it seems to have a workaround, but I would hope that the bug would be fixed so that is not necessary. Please leave this bug opened so it may be worked on.
Also, to test again, I have just turned off Compiz and repeated the steps. The bug still remains.
