Switch user is pretty screwed up, and I don't think it is a video card problem. I just tried it again to see if the problem I reported above is still reproducible, since I am getting all updates including proposed.
I have a User Switch in my top menu bar now. Here is what happened: I login as user 1 I switch to user 2 I start a virtual console, see the login prompt, and then return to GDM via alt-f7 But it takes me back to user 1, not user 2, so that's wrong. Then it starts to break. I logged out of user 1, logged in again as user 2.My desktop immediately started; it clearly resumed the existing user 2 session. But I had an infinite loop of the sound effect for session start. The good news is that I could not reproduce the problems I reported above. -- Switch user confuses virtual console usage 8.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/236666 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
