Well, I reported the bug four months ago, and it seems that Xorg's behavior changed somehow since then. Now, instead of just crashing, it freezed (i.e., the mouse kept working, but clicking anywhere on the screen had no effect)... After 10 minutes of no response, I restarted the computer.
