In the meantime (tried some checksum software, but couldn't find something that works, and it's pretty late), I've bruned another CD and I get the same error again. Seems like the directory /target/dev/pts isn't being created by the installer (or at least thats what it looks like to me), and the installer fails on copying files to a non-existent directory... I might be wrong though (I probably am).
