Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image
When trying to boot with kernel 2.6.24-20-generic (version 2.6.24-20.37), the system won't boot. It stops displaying the message "Starting up" on screen. When booting in recovery mode, the boot process halts after displaying the line about testing the processor for the HLT instruction. Booting with kernel 2.6.24-19 is no problem at all. Works like a charm...
