Mark, feel free to extract a patch which fixes this issue and provide it as a debdiff, or wait until this bug is brought to attention to the developers and they have an idea about how to fix this. The SRU procedure does *not* say that we backport the whole 2.6.26 kernel, but it says that we cherry-pick the fix from the 2.6.26 kernel and apply it to the hardy kernel. In case you know where to find the fix, please let us know.
