Ouch! I can't tell so much about that bug but markor's words made me a
bit angry.

See, this is a GNU/Linux distribution, markor. The people here are
responsible for assembling all these pieces of software together in a
way it makes sense and runs. They're however not responsible for each
and every single line of code someone eles has written in the past.
There are 1000 file managers out there -- graphical ones and text baed
ones. You simply cant render a whole system useless just because one
piece of software doesn't work in your special system configuration.

About the bug I can say that exactly the same freezes occour at times
but when performing aribitary operations like showing all previously
hidden files or browsing a bit deeper into the directory structure.
Second windows were not invilved yet. Killing and restarteing the file
manager in a row doesn't help much. Sometimes I have to wait an hour for
a sucessfull restart. Often I try to empty the trash in between but this
worsens things again. For the lst few days Thunar froze only once. I
also disabled all file thumbnails. I also use small fonts and detail
views as well as a tree on the left - just a bit like explorer.exe in
Microsoft systems (one of the few things I liked about hteir system).
