I expected to open [System > Administration > Hardware Drivers] and check 'wl'
in order for my wireless card to work. This is the method I use with Ubuntu
8.04 LTS.

04:00.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation BCM4310 USB Controller (rev 01)
        Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 137c
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 10
        Memory at fc000000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
        Capabilities: <access denied>

4)
Instead, there was nothing to check in [System > Administration > Hardware
Drivers]. Also, there does not seem to be a wl module anywhere.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo modprobe wl
FATAL: Module wl not found.

In Ubuntu 8.04 LTS I am able to build the latest wl
(http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php) and it works
fine. When I build the latest in Intrepid, it doesn't insert.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/hybrid_wl$ sudo insmod ./wl.ko
insmod: error inserting './wl.ko': -1 Unknown symbol in module
