Alberto Milone: this did not work. fglrx simply does not load. I'm reverting back to my startup script as I don't know another way to initialize fglrx.
I'm using upgraded version of hardy (kernel 2.6.24-19 now) I've built the drivers from ATI's installer (catalyst 8.06-june) It's installed here /lib/modules/$(uname -r)/updates/dkms/fglrx.ko works if I insmod, but goes away unless the script is in place. Tried rmmod to remove it, then insmod to replace, then depmod -ae, then mopdprobe, but reverts to mesa drivers. if there's another way, I'm open to hearing, but this works for now. -- Hardy: fglrx not working for ATI card https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/215702 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
