As of today, the HAL / automount feature is not working again. CDROMs, DVDROMs, USB memory and memory cards don't trigger the usual friendly pop up dialog asking for actions (playing, opening/mounting etc.). I'm runnig an up-to-date Kubuntu 8.04 with KDE 3.5.9. I confirm that those HAL scripts are missing.
