OK, I am changing the package to xorg since this is a failure of X in Hardy to autodetect the correct settings on your machine. We at least now have the differences of xorg.conf. However, I STILL don't know what your problem actually was. Did the screen not show correctly (or at all) in Hardy? Once you tell me this, I can mark the bug as Triaged and developers can start working on it. Please attach a picture if that is the best way to describe the problem you had in Hardy by default.
