Hello David, Thank you for the quick reply! The issue came up while I was trying to install a program about a month ago, (can't remember which one?) Since this was a new install, I have decided to do a clean install of Ubuntu and everything is working well now!
Thanks again, Ben PS I love Ubuntu, keep up the great work... -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of David Norton Sent: Wednesday, July 16, 2008 5:14 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Bug 249267] Re: cannot update ubuntu It looks like the update-manager is finding the word "sudo" in the source list (at /etc/apt/sources.list) and choking on it (That's not normally something it finds there). Perhaps you can edit it yourself with a text editor. If you post your /etc/apt/sources.list, I could try to walk you through it. ** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: None => update-manager -- cannot update ubuntu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/249267 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug.
