I am now running for the changed options for about one week and it seems they work. The previous experienced problems I would say, are related to two instances of monitoring CPU-frequency. This was manly due to the fact, that the standard Frequence-panel required a restart, to display as well the options.
Although I have another serious problem which freeze my compy regularly, I do not assume they are related.
