I thought this might be a video card problem. I removed my Nvidia 6200 and put in a GeForce3 Ti200. The problem still persists...I tried recovery mode last night and the comp froze while loading everything I had to hard reset the computer about 12 times before I could finally get it to load so that I could grab my data and move to the laptop.
Has anyone disabled their wireless card and seen if that fixes the problem? I'm using an Atheros card. inquinador wrote: > I was having these regular freezes, sometimes 3 or 4 time in a row and had to > force reboot every time. > Later on i noticed another freeze (this one reproducible) while connecting my > WM6 PPC to DUN --activesync... that was already reported. > The following thought came to mind: "What if they are somehow related?" > After disconnecting my bluetooth adapter the random freezes completely > disappeared, one week without any freezes... > > -- Linux kernel 2.6.24-12 lockup https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/204996 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
