xpdf-japanese is opensource, right? It was installed automatically. but poppler-data is not free and installed manually.
After installing japanese language support, evince, the default pdf viewer doesn't support japanese. This is the problem. Just solve this problem in a way that whatever you like I don't stick to poppler-data. Fine?
