Public bug reported: I have a Radeon 9200SE that I've used many times before with Ubuntu. It has two monitor ports. One DVI-I, and another VGA. I'm installing 8.04.1, and now I'm having a problem with graphics.
If I boot the live CD with an analog monitor connected to the DVI-I port with an analog adapter, when it tries to go into graphics mode, the display goes blank, and that's the end of it. (By blank, it's like in power-save mode. No signal at all.) If I boot the live CD with the same monitor connected to the VGA port, when it tries to go into graphics mode, the display becomes twisted, flickery, and unreadable. However, the CURSOR is fine. Either way, I can't use the Radeon. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Radeon 9200SE, analog-only head, graphics unreadable https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/248256 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
