I have some new info: I have been trying new things with this bug and i have find this:
Ubuntu 8.04 32bits with Nvidia 169.12, Kernel 2.6.24-19-generic, Kopete 0.12.7, GeForce 7400 crashes only when the Visual Effects are set so if the visual effects are disabled it doesn't crash.
